I am Nancy Christidi; a passionate yoga teacher, body therapist, personal trainer, world traveler, advocate of the holistic wellbeing and a spiritual seeker. An adventurous soul hooked to the yogic lifestyle.
I have been experimenting with different styles of yoga, like hatha, restorative, jivamukti, Ashtanga vinyasa as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and his grandson Sharath Jois in Mysore of India. For my teachings, I mainly get inspiration from my personal practice and always trying to grasp the vibe, individual needs and capabilities of the people attending my classes. Additionally, I guide though meditation and various breathing and yogic cleansing techniques.
Yoga is not merely a work out or a soothing and restorative practice, but also a work in. Beginning from the physical exercises, my teachings focus on correct alignment and attention to the breathing patterns in order to build up a strong and flexible body, a proper body posture and to eventually turn the awareness inwards allowing a stable mind and connecting to our inner light and beauty.
I have been trained both in Greece and India, the latter being the source of yoga philosophy and getting to know ashram life and Indian culture.
I am a Registered Yoga Teacher with International Yoga Alliance – RYT 500 and have 4 years of international teaching yoga experience (Cyprus, India, Qatar) and I have been leading yoga retreats and teacher training courses.
Apart from yoga, I am also offering body therapy, especially Thai yoga massage and Traditional Thai massage as taught in the Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai, Thailand. This is a supplementary to yoga technique relieving from muscular blockages and balancing the energy flow throughout the body.
I am also a former marketeer and I have an academic background in International and European Social, Political and legal studies.
My aim is to help people achieve their greatest potential, greater levels of awareness, happiness and wellbeing through the beautiful life science of yoga and massage. Through my teachings, I hope to be a source of inspiration, light and change in this world. I encourage people to connect to their inner light and beauty, to open their hearts, overcome their fears and facilitate inner transformation. I am looking forward to sharing my yoga experience with you!
