My yoga journey brings me to Doha, Qatar where I was fascinated by a truly original concept; “OxFitnessLab“, a start up aspiring to bring together well being, well living and the best training – a 360 approach, offering a fully personalized wellness plan in order to satify the specialized needs of each member.
Lesson learnt: If it is not working, start walking; you are meant to keep moving
I am curious, I want to see and live the world, love yoga and travelling, getting a small taste from other cultures. So, I found myself in Doha- Qatar, a place with the most amazing sunrise I have ever seen. If you are travelling in Qatar, do not miss the sunrise!
Naturally, it also depends on your nature and personality; The more fake of a person you are, the better you match the lifestyle and the totally artificial scenery of this small country of the Persial Gulf; meaningless extravaganza, hypocritical lifestyle restrictions, modern slavery.
I was hoping to some desert wisdom, but instead found myself suffocating from the desert isolation. Limited inspiration, no wisdom, limited yoga practice, 2 steps back…
…the last months, I have been training in yoga members of the royal and other well known local families, some of them interested in the essence of yoga…these people were the only source of inspiration….in the training field, circus skills seem to be in style in Doha, handstand-maniac people all around….yes, indeed it is one of the kind Cirque du Soleil.
